Description

A fabric raised garden bed divided into planting grids — four in the 60cm square, eight in the 180cm long bed. The dividers are the clever part: they keep carrots out of the beetroot, stop one vigorous plant taking the whole bed, and make succession sowing genuinely easy to keep track of.

Breathable felt does something rigid planters can't. Roots reach the fabric wall, meet air, and stop rather than circling — which means healthier root systems and less transplant shock. Water drains freely instead of pooling at the base, so overwatering is far harder to do. Set it up on a balcony, a patio, a roof terrace or an allotment; when the season ends, empty it, fold it and put it away.

Why you'll love it

  • Divided planting grids — 4 or 8 sections for organised, square-foot style growing.
  • Breathable felt fabric — air-pruned roots and healthier plants.
  • Excellent drainage — no waterlogging, much harder to overwater.
  • Two sizes — 60 x 60 x 30cm for balconies, 180 x 90 x 30cm for real growing.
  • Folds flat off-season — no bulky frame to store over winter.
  • No tools, no assembly — unfold, fill with compost, plant.

Details

  • Material: breathable non-woven felt fabric
  • Sizes/Options: 60 x 60 x 30cm (4 grids) or 180 x 90 x 30cm (8 grids)
  • Care: empty and rinse at the end of the season, dry fully before folding and storing; hose off soil rather than machine washing
  • Ideal for: vegetable and herb growing, balcony and patio gardens, allotments, roof terraces, courtyard gardens, raised bed beginners

Growing tip: fabric beds dry out faster than rigid planters, especially in a breeze. Mulch the surface with compost or bark once your seedlings are established — it cuts watering roughly in half through a hot spell.
